Breast Abscess

Breast Abscesses are a complication of mastitis, and a pyogenic abscess can evolve from acute bacterial mastitis.It is frequently observed in non-puerperal mastitis and can be a particularly difficult condition due to the intense discomfort and tendency for recurrence. Breast abscesses require a surgical incision to allow drainage for the abscess,and is usually performed under general anesthesia.
